About GPS or Tag
GPS or Tag exists because pet tracker listings blur two different things. A Bluetooth tag like an AirTag or a Tile has no GPS and no cell plan. It shows where a phone last heard it, which works in the house and fails in a field. A GPS tracker has its own GPS and cell connection, needs a paid plan and a signal, and still only gives second by second updates in a live mode that drains the battery. This site starts with which kind your pet needs, then checks the tracker's weight against your pet's weight, then points you to picks that fit.
Who runs this site
GPS or Tag is run by one independent publisher who also runs the sister guides listed at plainbuyguides.com. We are not owned by, paid by or partnered with any brand we write about. Amazon is the only company we have an affiliate relationship with, and it has no say in what we write.
How picks are made
We choose every product from public information: the manufacturer's spec sheet and Amazon listing, safety certifications, warranty terms, and recurring themes in what owners report.
